With special guests from Mt. Zion High School..."Unaccompanied Minors" - quartet
"Rouge Et Noir" - ensemble
The group now known as Vocal Spectrum initially formed as one-time educational quartet for a local high school. That was in 2003, and they haven’t stopped singing since! Their musical backgrounds vary from classical voice training to rock-n-roll bands. All four men graduated from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo., where they majored in different fields.
In 2004 Vocal Spectrum won the International Collegiate Quartet Contest and in 2006 won the coveted International Barbershop Quartet Contest, becoming the first quartet ever to win all three possible medals -- Collegiate Quartet, Men’s Quartet, and Chorus. Vocal Spectrum received the honor of being inducted into the Central States District Hall of Fame. The quartet has performed in Germany, Holland, Sweden, Russia, England, Japan, New Zealand and throughout the United States, singing for various shows and conventions as well as teaching high school students about barbershop harmony.
