Prasad Khaparde began his musical journey with formal music classes at an early age. His initial training in classical music was under the guidance of the eminent gurus of Gwaliar Gharana Shri. Bhalerao guruji, Lt. Pandit D. V Panke, and Lt. Pandita Sumantai Choudhari. Later he became a scholar at ITC Sangeet Research Academy of Kolkata and since then has been under the tutelage of Ustad Rashid Khan. He is one of the top-most vocalists of India today.Prasad ji will be accompanied on tabla by renowned tabalji Ramdas Palsule, and on harmonium by Abhinay Ravande.
