About this Event
Refugees + Immigrants United and Sắp Sửa are hosting a 50-year commemoration event to honor Việtnamese Remembrance and Resilience, recognizing the journey of Vietnamese refugees who fled the Việt Nam War. This day of reflection marks the fall of Sài Gòn on April 30, 1975, a pivotal moment that forever changed the lives of over 3 million people. The event will pay tribute to the memory, strength, and perseverance of Vietnamese refugees.
This occasion offers a meaningful chance to acknowledge the hardships faced by those displaced, the tragic loss of 200,000 to 400,000 lives at sea, and the resilience of Việtnamese refugee survivors who continue to enrich communities in Colorado and around the world.
The event is free to attend, though donations are encouraged to help cover event costs and support our ongoing mission and work. Seating is limited, and registration is required, though it does not guarantee a seat.
Light appetizers and refreshments will be provided, courtesy of Sắp Sửa restaurant.
