ABOUT THE PARTNERS:
About
Ameyal is committed to sharing the richness of Mexican cultural heritage through immersive educational and artistic experiences in Miami. Their programs are rooted in their practice of traditional artforms such as dance, music, crafts and cuisine.
In Xóchitl In Cuicatl
At the core of Ameyal’s artistic practice and teachings is “In Xóchitl In Cuicatl”. Translated to English as “flower and song”, this phrase poetically represents an ancient concept passed on to the people from their ancestors. It symbolizes a worldview in which humans achieve balance with nature by practicing various artforms in harmony with one another.
To promote inclusion for all, Vizcaya ensures that all community programs, after-hour and weekend events for locals, feature activities that are physically accessible to all visitors. While not all areas of the estate are wheelchair accessible, community programs are purposefully located in areas without stairs or that can be accessed via a ramp.
