About this Event

Join us for an evening of interdisciplinary connection, inspiration, and stargazing at our Power of We: Interdisciplinary Meetup, featuring a special guest appearance by world-renowned astrophysicist Dr. James Webb. Building on the momentum from our last gathering, this meetup brings FIU faculty and staff from various fields to connect, collaborate, and explore how our diverse expertise can drive innovation, well-being, and sustainability at FIU.

Our evening begins at Chili’s on FIU’s MMC campus, where we’ll gather at 4:30 PM for drinks, food, and conversation. At 6:00 PM, Dr. Webb will lead us to the FIU Astroscience Center for a night of stargazing and insights into the universe's wonders. Through this unique experience under the stars, Dr. Webb will guide us in exploring the cosmos, sparking discussions on how our work in business, nursing, engineering, psychology, social work, and beyond contributes to a broader understanding of our world and universe.
