Fundraising Social – to buy school materials for Cuba!
Friday 3rd March 2023 (doors open 6.30) 7pm - 10pm at
St Andrews, Handsworth, B21 9RE - Corner of College Rd / Church Lane, opposite ‘The Grove’ pub - Bus : 11 or 101, plenty of parking on street or opposite
With : speakers from Cuba, music, dance, games, short films, quiz, raffle + Cuban foods (v) and cocktails/drinks! Family Friendly.
Many Cuban schools have started the academic year with NO exercise books due to the illegal US blockade of Cuba (since 1962 - 60 yrs)
Unfortunately despite many promises before being elected, Joe Biden has done nothing to ease or lift the blockade of Cuba. We can help schools there by joining the national fundraising efforts, to bulk buy items here. They’ll be shipped to Cuba in April.

Come to the social evening for lots of Cuban style entertainment, great Cuban foods and drinks, and a chance to hear how Cubans continue to provide high class education despite massive shortages.
