Looking to produce a professional book of your art or photography work? Look no further. October's Second Saturday Speaker Series features a discussion on artist books, presented by NHAA's Photo group. Visual Diaries: Photographic Books and Prints
Artists, especially photographers, are often prolific in the production of finished work. Creating a book of your work can encapsulate and explore specific ideas or themes in much greater depth and potentially reach a larger audience. Members of the NHAA Photography Group will present the different approaches they used to create print on demand books, handmade books, accordion books, and portfolio boxes. Selecting work for a book including sequencing, editing, text, material choice, number of pages, physical dimensions and cost will be discussed. Finished sample books will be available for review at the talk on October 11th. An exhibition of the Photography Group’s completed books will be featured at the NHAA gallery in November.
