Ethereal Rot is an American technical death metal band, with heavy doses of black and brutal death metal laced throughout their varied and unpredictable songs. At times, their sound is a whirlwind of frenzied, but carefully constructed passages of auditory onslaught, at others melancholic and gloom-laden, with currents of atmospheric of doom and decay interwoven through the fibers of chaos. Soaring leads, blistering blasts with creative fills, mind-bending bass passages, and otherworldly vocal stylings, along with their signature songwriting set them apart from their peers in an ever more diverse extreme metal landscape. influenced by acts like Disentomb, Suffering Hour, Cattle Decapitation, Deeds of Flesh and Decrepit Birth, Ethereal Rot created a distinctive sound composed of their collective favorite sounds to create a sonic realm all their own. Thus far, they’ve release two EPs, most recently Cadaverine Skies, where the group hinted at what’s to come in future releases. They have performed with big acts in extreme metal, like Cattle Decapitation and Origin, as well as local heavy-hitters in major cities across the northeast. Agenbite Misery is an NH trio who play an experimental blend of black metal, death metal, and doom metal. Their music is based on the novel Ulysses by Irish author James Joyce.
