The Society will book group tickets and pay your entrance fee.
The main Museum is free.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE EXHIBITION AND COLLECTION
1. Treasure: History Unearthed
Revealing personal stories and global connections, Treasure: History Unearthed features the largest collection of archaeological treasure ever shown in the region, with finds from the North West and Wales. Highlights include key items from a number of national and regional institutions including the British Museum and Amgueddfa Cymru - Museum Wales.
2. The Regional Archaeological collection
The regional archaeology collection includes objects which date from the Mesolithic to the modern periods, and provide evidence about how life in Merseyside has changed through its long history.
The wide-ranging collection reflects the changing landscape, settlement-pattern, lifestyles and experiences of people living in the region over the last 10,500 years.
The collection is particularly strong in the areas of the region’s earliest communities, rural settlement, vernacular building recording and mercantile Liverpool
REFRESHMENTS
There is a café at the Museum. There are also other eateries nearby.
ACCESSIBILITY
All areas of the Museum are fully accessible to wheelchair users and those with reduced mobility. There are seats throughout the Museum.
There are six blue badge parking spaces directly opposite the museum entrance, by the Great Western Railway building. These are about 30 metres from the entrance and need to be pre-booked.

BY CAR
Follow signposts for the Royal Albert Dock from the motorway and other main routes into the city centre. Please note that roadworks in Liverpool city centre may cause delays, so allow plenty of time for your journey.
PARKING
There are car parks in the nearby Liverpool One complex opposite the entrance to the Royal Albert Dock. There are also car parks in the Royal Albert Dock Area. WE advise you check whether the car park takes cash and/or card.
BY TRAIN
Trains run from Preston to Lime Street Station. Some are direct. The museum is approximately a 20 minute walk.
BY BUS
Stagecoach X2 runs from Preston Bus station to Liverpool L1. Tickets are cheap but the journey time is over 2 hours.
