About this Event
Guided Visit to the RAF Digby Museum
Learn about RAF Digby's role during WWII. Visit the faithfully restored Ops Room, as it was in October 1939, prior to the Battle of Britain. The Operations Room, set up as it was on 21 October 1939, is complete with plotting table, operations clock and status boards. See what planning went into air defence in WWII and have a go yourself on the plotting table.
Please note:
This visit may not be suitable for people with limited mobility. There is a 10 - 15 x minute walk from the car park to the museum. Due to the age and nature of the building, surfaces are uneven in places with
raised door thresholds. The lower level is accessed by steps. There are no drop kerbs near the building.
PHOTOGRAPHY IS NOT ALLOWED on the station apart from in front of the Spitfire gate guard. There are no photography restrictions inside the museum.
