Sound Bath – Monthly Event
Sound baths can bring so many benefits! People often notice things like: better sleep, lower blood pressure, more energy, reduced stress and anxiety, a lift in mood, a greater sense of calm, and overall wellbeing.
I’m running these sessions on the 3rd Friday of every month in the beautiful chapel at Lincoln Bishop University, on Newport in Lincoln, from 11am to 1pm. You’ll have a relaxing two hours to unwind and recharge, which includes: 1 hour sound bath and a crystal to take home.
Price: £20 per person for non students and just £10 for students
Spaces are limited, so please contact me to book your place. Who knows… this could be your new favourite thing to do!
What is a sound bath?
A sound bath completely immerses—or “bathes”—you in sound. My sessions usually last about an hour. You can lie on a yoga or padded mat, or if that’s tricky, sit comfortably in a reclining chair. After a gentle, guided relaxation to settle in, I play a selection of instruments in a way that encourages the conscious mind to relax and the unconscious mind to take over. This is where deep relaxation happens and the parasympathetic nervous system is activated—the part of your body that boosts your immune system and natural self-healing.
Every sound bath is unique. Some people drift off to sleep, some notice colours or visions, some feel physical sensations—it really depends on what your body and mind need in that moment. Afterwards, people often report feeling balanced, content, calmer, and more connected to themselves, with benefits that carry on into sleep, stress levels, and overall wellbeing.
What to bring
Warm socks and comfortable clothes
A drink of water
A yoga or padded mat
A pillow and at least one blanket (I recommend 2)
An eye mask, if you find it helps you relax
If you prefer not to lie down, a reclining chair is perfect—just let me know when booking so I can plan the room layout
Is a sound bath suitable for everyone?
Sound baths are not suitable in the following cases:
Pregnancy (first 12 weeks)
Deep vein thrombosis
Sensitivity to sound (some forms of epilepsy—please check with me first)
Pacemaker, defibrillator, stent, shunt, or any metallic implant (instruments should not be placed on or too near the affected area)
If you have a medical condition or aren’t sure whether a sound bath is suitable, please contact me directly:
