Aftenen bliver åbnet af rEmPiT g0dDe$$. Den malaysiske elektroniske musiker forener sydøstasiatiske musiktraditioner og monstrøse klubbeats. Violent Magic Orchestras navn siger ikke så lidt. Den japanske gruppe sprænger rammerne for hidtidige musikalske genrer og skaber en eksplosiv og episk fusion af black metal, techno, industrial, noise, gabber og moderne kompositionsmusik, som tilsammen skaber et voldsomt sammenstød mellem hidsig elektronisk rave og skurrende black metal. Selv beskriver VMO deres lyd som et møde mellem corpse paint og Aphex Twin – eller som en eksplosion af mørk energi og visuel overflod.
Gruppen, som har medlemmer navngivet efter legendariske black metal-bands som Mayhem og Gorgoroth, er kendt for deres intense live shows, der kombinerer fem stroboskoplys, røgmaskiner og den karismatiske frontvokalist ザスター (Zastar). På scenen skaber VMO en overvældende audiovisuel oplevelse i samarbejde med den prisvindende visuelle kunstner KEZZARDRIX, som også har arbejdet med BabyMetal og Millennium Parade. Deres nyeste album "DEATH RAVE" (2024) inkluderer gæsteoptrædener fra legender som Attila Csihar (Mayhem), Dylan Walker (Full of Hell) og Kælan Mikla. På sommerens Roskilde Festival blev publikum rystet i sin grundvold til en vanvittig showcase i Gloria, så vi glæder os enormt til VMO kommer forbi ALICE til foråret som del af deres RAINBOW FROM ANGEL CORPSE TOUR – en udvidet og sansebombarderende version af “DEATH RAVE”.

Den malaysiske DJ, komponist og producer rEmPiT g0dDe$$ lyden af traditionelle malaysiske og filippinske instrumenter – herunder træblæserinstrumentet serunai, strenginstrumentet rebab og slagtøjsinstrumentet kulingtang – med industrielle lydlandskaber. Resultatet? En tung, insisterende og muteret raveenergi, der bringer os ind i klubbens mørkeste kringelkroge.
Bag artistaliasset rEmPiT g0dDe$$ står Viktoria Yam. Ud over sine egne musikalske projekter (der også tæller singer-songwriteraliasset VIKTORIA) står den eksperimenterende, elektroniske artists med base i Malaysia og Cambodia bag ALIGN.ONLINE – en platform, der har til formål at skabe synlighed for sydøstasiatiske kvindelige og queer elektroniske artister. Derudover er Viktoria Yam medstifter af DJ-kollektivet 3NiTi og en del af dukketeaterensemblet Wayang Kulit. Viktoria Yam har optrådt på tværs af Asien, Canada og Europa; blandt andet har hun spillet et Boiler Room-set under Maho Rasop festivalen i Bangkok og på King’s Place i London i forbindelse med The Oram Awards, som hun vandt i den internationale kategori i 2023. Violent Magic Orchestra (VMO)
Violent Magic Orchestra's name speaks volumes. The Japanese group breaks the boundaries of musical genres, creating an explosive and epic fusion of black metal, techno, industrial, noise, gabber, and contemporary music—a violent clash of aggressive electronic rave and abrasive black metal. VMO describes their sound as a meeting of corpse paint and Aphex Twin—or as an explosion of dark energy and visual excess.
The group, with members named after legendary black metal bands like Mayhem and Gorgoroth, is known for their intense live shows, which combine five strobe lights, smoke machines, and the charismatic frontwoman ザスター (Zastar). On stage, VMO delivers an overwhelming audiovisual experience in collaboration with award-winning visual artist KEZZARDRIX, who has also worked with BabyMetal and Millennium Parade. The Malaysian DJ, composer, and producer rEmPiT g0dDe$$ blends the sounds of traditional Malaysian and Filipino instruments—including the wind instrument serunai, the string instrument rebab, and the percussion instrument kulingtang—with industrial soundscapes. The result? A heavy, relentless, and mutated rave energy that pulls us into the club’s farthest and darkest recesses.
Behind the artist alias rEmPiT g0dDe$$ is Viktoria Yam. In addition to her own musical projects (which also include her singer-songwriter alias VIKTORIA), the experimental electronic artist, based in Malaysia and Cambodia, is the force behind ALIGN.ONLINE—a platform dedicated to amplifying the visibility of Southeast Asian female and queer electronic artists. Furthermore, Viktoria Yam is a co-founder of the DJ collective 3NiTi and part of the Wayang Kulit-puppet theater ensemble. She has performed across Asia, Canada, and Europe, including a Boiler Room set at the Maho Rasop Festival in Bangkok and a show at King’s Place in London as part of The Oram Awards, where she won in the international category in 2023. The Oram Awards recognize pioneering female and gender minority artists that are pushing the limits of electronic music—something Viktoria Yam undoubtedly does!
