Jazz- og soulkunstneren BAUN – aka Søren Baun, er en ener på den danske musikscene og rækker ud til dem, der hungrer efter varm, håndspillet musik i en digital tidsalder.
Som sanger, pianist og sangskriver inspireret af bl.a. Nat King Cole, Herbie Hancock og Stevie Wonder præsenterer Søren Baun sin helt egen genrebrydende lyd, der spænder over jazz, soul, R&B, brasil, pop og funk. Med sin soulfulde stemme, sit stærke groove og nærvær har han begejstret publikum fra Manhattan og Madrid til Kairo og København.
I eftermiddag kan han opleves i tæt samspil med den eftertragtede bassist Matthias Petri og trompetist Jonas Due, begge kendt fra Otooto, blandt mange andre projekter. De vil spille et repertoire af originaler, håndplukkede jazz- og latinstandarder i nye arrangementer og stærkt personlige fortolkninger af soul- og pop-evergreens.
I 2024 udgav Søren Baun sit upbeat soloalbum "Beginnings" under navnet BAUN. Med anmelderroser i Danmark og i udlandet, radio airplay på P5 og P8 samt i 15 andre lande, en plads på Amazons hitliste med kunstnere som Gregory Porter og José James, og cd'er til salg i Japan, er Søren Bauns musik på vej opad – også internationalt.
