Hilton Village Main Street and the Newport News Commissioner of the Revenue’s Office invite you to join us for B.O.S.S.E.S. (Businesses Operating for Stronger, Successful Economies), a free informational workshop for new, existing, and prospective business owners.
This session is designed to answer common questions about operating a business in Newport News, including business licensing, tax requirements, and local and state compliance matters. Because every business is unique, attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions specific to their business.
The workshop will also share a special initiative from our office focused on helping restaurant owners comply with taxes through the Restaurant T.I.P.S. (Tax Information Prepared for Success) program. Restaurant T.I.P.S. provides direct assistance and on-site guidance to help restaurant owners understand and comply with all local tax requirements.
