ABOUT MARCELO: Marcelo Gutierrez belongs to a unique and fortunate generation of tango professionals who "came of age" just as tango reached a pivotal moment and experienced a renewal in the 2000s. He had the privilege of studying with legendary old-school masters like the Dinzels, Nito and Elba, the Rivarolas, Teresa Fernández (from the Todaro system), and Victor Arne. At the same time, he was a part of the tango revolution started by Gustavo Naveira, which led to the emergence of Tango Nuevo. Marcelo has since dedicated himself to developing and perfecting a teaching method for which he is widely respected. His system emphasizes stability, groundedness, comfort, natural body movement, core engagement, and organic leading and following.
