In partnership with Craig Newmark Philanthropies, VetsinTech presents AWS Solutions Architect Associate. This course, valued at more than $5,000, is brought to you by Craig Newmark Philanthropies and is provided free of charge*. At the heart of many great sites and applications is a framework that supports it all, AWS.

This course is a 4-week commitment at 2 hours per session, Monday thru Thursday

Please be prepared to have cameras on during class, and to be interacting in the video chat/Slack. If you have a second monitor, we recommend using it so that you can be watching the instructor on one screen and completing activities on the other.
Timing: 4 PM to 6 PM Central Time
Prerequisites:
- Should have completed either the AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification OR previously have taken the AWS CCP course with VetsinTech.
- Familiarity with cloud computing concepts.
- Working knowledge of distributed systems(optional).
Hands on Lab: Enrolled students need to create their own AWS Free Tier account to perform all the hands-on portions of the course(s) with their own funding method. Guidelines to create the Free-Tier account will be provided by the instructors. Lab instructions will be shared on the Canvas platform
Quizzes: Quizzes will be administered at the end of various modules to solidify student’s comprehension of the material.
Engagement is a crucial part of the learning process, hence attendance in LIVE class is mandatory. However, in the event a student cannot attend, the lecture will be recorded, and a link will be provided on a case-by-case basis. Excuses are limited to not more than 2 classes with prior information.

This is an exam conducted by AWS, the details of which are as follows:
- Exam overview
- Level: Associate
- Length: 130 minutes to complete the exam
- Cost: 150 USD

- Format: 65 questions, either multiple choice or multiple responses.
- Delivery method: Pearson VUE testing center or online proctored exam.
This certification is intended for candidates who may be:
- Experience in AWS technology.
- Strong on-premises IT experience and understanding of mapping on-premises to cloud.
- Experience working in other cloud services

Materials:
All materials will be provided through Canvas LMS. There will also be the latest material available from the AWS library and white papers. This is all the material that you will need to pass the exam. Your ability to pass will be based on how well you follow the study plan.
