VERSES Open Mic is where it all began. Downtown Newark at Planet Wings in 2008 with GODSENT, AJ Songwarrior + ASax. It was a FREE EVENT, where we accepted donations towards the CAUSE of growing the platform bigger and better for the POETRY community.
