Kaz Abbas (he/they)
Kaz Abbas is a poet, performer and filmmaker based in Manchester. Performances include the roundhouse slam and an upcoming feature as part of the imperial war museum’s big picture show. If you need them, they will be spending entirely too much money at your local bookstore.
John Clifford (he/him)
John has performed poetry in the UK, Europe and the US, everywhere from castles and cathedrals to cafes, clubs, pubs and favourite friends' kitchens. Last year saw him featured in six cities and three festivals around the country. His first collection Tell Us What We Are was published in 2023.
Biz Bond (they/she)
Biz is a poet based in Manchester. They’ve been using words to que(e)ry the world around them since they were a kid and love to turn the inner scribble of their brain into a dialogue with a room full of people. A member of The Southbank Centre Mew Poets Collective, last year saw them coming second in the Mind Over Matter National Slam, winning Young Identity’s One Mic Stand and collaborating with The Mannheim National Theatre but they’re most at home spinning yarns over a pint o Guinness. Simon Armitage dubbed them good value for money - come see if you agree!

VERSE was founded by Every Voice CIC, a lived experience-led community organisation working within North West England promote good mental wellbeing and social connection within marginalised groups using free creative writing opportunities, events and workshops.
