La relation personnelle aux animaux non humains évolue également au cours de la vie d’une personne. Les expériences individuelles jouent ici un rôle tout aussi important que les nouvelles découvertes scientifiques et les changements sociaux.

The relationship between humans and non-human animals is constantly evolving. At different times and in different cultural contexts, it has been and continues to be shaped by a variety of ethical, moral and legal concepts. Our personal relationships with non-human animals also change over the course of our lives. Individual experiences play just as important a role here as new scientific discoveries and social changes.
