About this Event
Vaiśākha – Celebration of the Buddha’s Enlightenment
The Buddha’s conception, enlightenment, and parinirvāṇa are traditionally commemorated on the full moon of the fourth lunar month – known as Saga Dawa in Tibetan and Vaiśākha in Sanskrit.
This is regarded as the most spiritually potent day of the year and falls on Sunday 31st May in 2026. We will observe this special day with sacred ceremonies led by Venerable Khyentse at the London Sakya Dzongpa Vajrayana Centre
