Surprise Party!Grace Lutheran Church VBS
3 Year Old through 5th Grade
August 2-6 2026
6:00pm-8:00pm
(with the option to eat supper together at 5:30pm)
VBS Kickoff Picnic Potluck: Please join us Sunday, August 2 at 5:30 PM for a picnic potluck to kick-off VBS. We will enjoy a meal and an introduction to this year’s theme: Surprise Party! There will be activities for all, families are invited to stay and participate! Bring your favorite dish to share!
Monday through Wednesday Night:
Each night will begin with an optional “Bring Your Own” picnic supper from 5:30-6:00pm. Children can bring their own supper and enjoy fellowship eating together before VBS begins. Families are invited to come as well and eat with their VBS-ers if they wish. Programming for children will start at 6:00pm. Each night children will enjoy music, bible stories, crafts, and games!
Thursday Night:
Instead of “Bring Your Own” Thursday night, the Faith and Family Committee will provide pizza for VBS-ers and families at 5:30pm. VBS programming for kids will begin at 6:00 as usual. Throughout the week students will learn a lot and want to show you what they have learned! Join us in the sanctuary at 7:45pm on Aug. 6th for a short program with ice cream treats to follow on the front lawn (weather permitting). Everyone is welcome!
WHAT TO BRING TO VBS
• Children/Families who come at 5:30 should bring a supper for themselves (M-W).
• A water bottle! Please label it as some may look the same.
• Tennis shoes are recommended (we will be playing games and moving around a lot).
• Children may bring their bible/story bible if they wish. We will have some available as well.
OFFERING
We will be collecting food and monetary donations for The Banquet’s Project SOS (Supply Our Students). There will be a donation box at the Church.
