Good Shepherd children are invited to join VBS 2024–Operation Restoration: Mending God’s World, June 10-14, 9-1 pm! God’s dream for all of creation is SHALOM, which can be described as peace, joy, and wholeness! In the beginning, at the moment of the Big Bang 13.6 billion years ago, God poured out his love to create the universe and then said "it is very good." God's unfolding promise is to mend the entire universe back to its original wholeness.
To mend something means to fix it, restore it, heal it, or patch it up. There are many stories in the Bible where God calls people to be menders, to be the ones who help put things back together. God also calls us to be menders of God’s world in our own place and time. Jesus invites us to mend the world in five important ways: feeding, healing, forgiving, praying, and resting.
Each day we'll explore one of these five ways of mending God's world through music, art, nature, and Godly Play Bible stories.
The last day of Vacation Bible School we’ll enter into rest and fellowship together with water games and a family picnic on the playground, 11:00-1:00 pm. All families are welcome!
We look forward to having fun and working together to mend God's world!
