Facilitated by Rev. Julie Lepp and Dean Yohnk, Ph.D., a retired UW professor with extensive training and experience related to gender identity and LGBTQA+ and DEI topics, instruction and
groups.
UUC is pleased to announce that it is forming and hosting a new LGBTQIA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer/Questioning, Intersexed, Allies, and others) Rainbow Circle to provide a safe and welcoming place for all members to come together monthly to discuss gender and sexuality topics related to our diverse identifies, stories, and experiences. The goal of the new UUC LGBTQIA+ Rainbow Circle is to encourage thoughtful and supportive conversations with other UUC members to increase knowledge and understanding regarding our diverse gender and sexual identities, to enhance community resilience and support networks, to reduce feelings of isolation and alienation, and to consider options for creating a more welcoming and inclusive.
