"Just The Basics! - Soup and Biscuit Edition" By Chef Michelle & Ed Coordinator Measha
Join us at Menomonie Market Food Co-op for another cooking adventure in our entry-level class, "Just the Basics, Soups and Biscuits Edition"! Our Chef Michelle and Ed Coordinator Measha are getting creative in this class to make soups that'll keep you cozy on a cold winter day!
Students will learn easy techniques that will have them feeling like a chef in no time, while having a blast! Chef Michelle will go over how to use vegetable scraps and chicken bones to make stock. The class will cook up a cheesy potato soup and a classic chicken noodle soup utilizing homemade stock. Michelle will talk about the different variations of the soups while students divide up into teams to make two different kinds of biscuits from scratch. One group will create gooey cheddar drop biscuits and the other, a classic delightfully fluffy biscuit.
In this awesome 1.5-hour class, your kiddos will pick up helpful kitchen and cooking skills, including:
