The USAW Level 1 Course is the starting point for anyone looking to coach Olympic weightlifting or integrate weightlifting movements into strength and performance training.Over two hands-on days, you’ll learn how to teach, cue, and correct the snatch, clean & jerk, squats, and presses using USAW’s proven progressions. You’ll practice mobility assessments, error correction, and programming strategies—leaving with the skills to coach beginners through intermediate athletes safely and effectively.

Certification Requirements:
Complete the live course, online modules, SafeSport training, and certification exam. There are no course prerequisites or requirements to be actively coaching or practicing weightlifting movements. Enrollment is open to everyone age 16 or older.
