Greetings Dancers!We’ll be sad to see the Kentucky Derby end May 2, but we don’t see why we can’t keep up the fun. So please join us for our “Dance for the Roses" monthly dance on Saturday, May 9th! If you didn’t get a chance to go to the Derby, or just have a snazzy outfit and a great Derby hat you want to show off, this is your opportunity to shine!
We are welcoming the lovely and talented Rachel Wheeler, an instructor with The Ballroom House, as she teaches us the fun and energetic Hustle! The hustle became popular in 1970s discos and is the perfect partner dance for modern contemporary music. The steps are easy to learn, the turns are quick, and you might even get to do a dip! Rachel's a great instructor and we can’t wait to see what fun variations she brings to the dance.
In addition to dancing, we'll have a Derby Hat contest for best hat! So if you have a beautiful hat or a handsome chapeau, make sure to wear it - you could win a prize!!
And as a special treat, The Ballroom House will be bringing a group formation performance for our viewing pleasure!

Do I Need a Partner?
No partner required, singles are welcome! We switch dance partners throughout the night so everyone gets a chance to dance.
