About the Event
Join us for the official launch of GTI's flagship US-Taiwan Task Force, featuring a fireside chat between two of America's foremost national security experts:
- Ambassador Robert C. O'Brien (ret.), 27th United States National Security Advisor, and the Co-founder and Chairman of American Global Strategies
- Dr. Ely Ratner, former Assistant Secretary of Defense for Indo-Pacific Security Affairs, and Principal at The Marathon Initiative
In a conversation moderated by Josh Rogin, columnist at The Washington Post, Ambassador O'Brien and Dr. Ratner will discuss the most pressing challenges and opportunities in the US-Taiwan partnership.
About the US-Taiwan Task Force
The new GTI US-Taiwan Task Force builds on the success of GTI's 2022-2024 Task Force on US-Taiwan Relations in the 21st Century. Chaired by Ambassador O'Brien and vice-chaired by Dr. Ratner, the Task Force convenes a bipartisan group of leading experts, policymakers, and former government officials from the United States and Taiwan.
Through rigorous policy discussions and in-depth research, the Task Force will examine critical issues in US-Taiwan relations and provide actionable recommendations for decision-makers in both Washington and Taipei.
