If it is considered unsafe, dependant on the current COVID-19 situation at the time, then the training will still go ahead on that date but online, and a £10 refund will be made to all delegates in view of refreshments not being provided. So many of us have done very little in the way of travel consultations (although I know a lot have been busy with COVID-19 testing for travellers) and it's not surprising that the subject feels both quite remote and confusing just now! This session aims to bring you up to speed and help you to feel confident in your practice once more.
Jane Chiodini has been teaching travel health updates for many years and those who have atttended rate it consistently as an excellent session packed full of helpful information. Jane also provides a webpage of resources to take you directly to the topics covered. The exact programme will be decided nearer the time when the direction of travel health provision is clearer, but whatever happens, it will update you on issues that developed during COVID-19 and help you regain the most up to date information.
The venue is very convenient for main railway stations - Euston, King's Cross and St Pancras International.... and opposite Warren Street tube takes you to Oxford Street in one stop for late night shopping afterwards!

FAQs
With COVID-19, is this training event definitely going ahead?
The information for this event was posted in January 2021 when no one was quite sure what the situation would be by September 2021. It is very much hoped that face to face events will be possible by this time, but the organiser reserves the right to change the training to online if the situation makes it essential to do so. This was identified in the introductory information about the course. It is therefore advised if you are travelling a distance that you do not book and pay for your transport well in advance, THT cannot be liable for this cost if plans need to be changed. However, if the training does need to be provided online then a £10 refund will be paid to each delegate to recompense for the lack of on site refreshments! The live event cannot be streamed live or recorded. If you prefer an online training session anyway, then please refer to information on Jane's website here .
Is this event just for nurses?
NO - it will be equally useful for doctors and pharmacists involved in travel health consultations
Can an invoice be created instead to book a place on this course?
With regret we are unable to invoice prior to the booking of this course. The only way is to book directly through Eventbrite. Many apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
What is the refund policy?
It is regretted that if a cancellation is made, 20% of the booking fee will be retained to cover administrative costs. For places cancelled within 3 weeks of the commencement of the course, no refund is given unless the cancelled place can be filled from a potential waiting list of delegates. If you need to make a cancellation please make contact with the organiser.
