About this Event
Join our resident crafty Executive Director, Cait McConnell, for an evening of community building, learning a new crafty skill, and helping reuse some "waste" materials that would end up in the landfill, or worse the Chemung River.
During our first workshop participants will learn how to make upcycled paper beads. Use up all those old magazines and newspapers and create something beautiful. All materials will be provided but you are more than welcome to bring your own magazines to use. We'll make enough beads to make a keychain or bracelet; but we hope you'll catch the bead making bug and want to make bunches more!
Registration is FREE but REQUIRED for this workshop so we know how many stations to set up with enough materials. As always donations are greatly appreciated.
Light snacks and drinks will be available in addition to all the materials needed for this craft. Come get crafty with the River Friends during Earth Month!
