BERLIN WORKSHOP & JAMMarch 1 - 2
TO UNRAVEL OUR IMAGINATION POWER THROUGH ANIMAL PLAY:
Contact Impro, Tango, Tai chi, Fusion, biomechanics and somatic elements
Creativity - Physical playfulness - Complicity - Longevity
In shamanic cultures as well as in acting techniques, the embodiment of an animal allows a practitioner to go further its personality’s social constrains. In a similar way, our imagination will playfully organise our movement being in surprising new ways.
We will experience the spine as a creative source of movement qualities. We will awaken its serpentine dynamic, it’s sensual delicacy and immediate reactions. This animal quality will be the departing form from which other movement beings will be created. In contact with oneself and in complicity with our dance partners we will embody new possibilities of learning, moving and being.
The mix of Contact improvisation, tango, tai chi, fusion, biomechanics and somatic elements will allow us to create a diversity of movement vital for our well-being.
This open combination, boundless of a given style, developed in a playful environment, provides the possibility to deepen the understanding of ourselves and our physical, emotional relation with society and Nature.
