ArtHub, a global network of artists and organisers, brings you an evening of two presentations: Unnayan
A dance production inspired by the true story of Padmashree Saalumarada Thimakka and many such women environmentalists. Through their relentless efforts, they transformed environment while elevating themselves. The focus being women’s empowerment, tangible and intangible heritage and more importantly sustainability and environment. Classical dance represents the ethos of our culture, heritage, and traditions. Through the medium of Kathak, we want to make a dance production that will touch all these topics.
Conceived and Choreographed by Guru Shama Bhate, Director of Nadroop
10 Students of Nadroop, will be performing in the production.
‘Music Preamble’
The evening will also feature in form a ‘Musical Preamble’ before Unnayan, a confluence of three instruments, featuring three young artists on flute, sitar and tabla.

Flute - Shadaj Godkhindi
Tabla - Pradyumna Karpor.
They represent the future of Indian classical tradition and heritage. All instruments made from natural materials producing natural sound are best representation of our rich tradition of musical invention.
