Join us for the next instalment of the NED Series supported by KPMG in the Crown Dependencies
About this Event

This session examines how organisations can move beyond high‑level AI principles to establish effective governance that supports both innovation and risk management.

It will focus on the role of boards and Non‑Executive Directors in overseeing AI, highlighting how trust is built not through policy alone, but through robust controls across the full AI lifecycle, from design and development through to deployment and ongoing monitoring.

The session will explore how organisations can implement practical governance capabilities, including:

  • Explainability and transparency
  • Bias identification and mitigation
  • Human oversight
  • Ongoing performance monitoring

These capabilities will be considered in the context of evolving regulatory expectations and the need to align AI use with organisational risk appetite.

Attendees will gain a clear understanding of how strong AI governance can act as an enabler, supporting confident decision-making and responsible, scalable adoption of AI.

The session is relevant for organisations at all stages of AI adoption, from early exploration through to more advanced use cases, and will provide practical insights for effective board oversight.

We are pleased to welcome Dr Keith Cortis and Dr Ian Gauchi to the island and look forward to gaining their valuable perspectives.
