About this Event

Unlocked Potential and DYSports will host a one-day Spring Break Youth Basketball Clinic on March 19, 2026, expanding their established player development model to young athletes in Phoenix. The clinic is designed to deliver focused, high-energy instruction for players ages 5 to 14 who want to strengthen core basketball fundamentals in a supportive and competitive environment.

The clinic will take place at Washington High School and will be divided into two age-based sessions. Athletes ages 5 to 10 will train from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., followed by a session for ages 11 to 14 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Training will emphasize shooting mechanics, ball-handling control, footwork efficiency and total-body athletic movement. Coaches will lead players through simple, repeatable drills designed to translate directly into in-game performance. Organizers say the fast pace of the session allows for maximum repetitions while still providing individualized feedback, helping participants build confidence and leave with measurable improvement in their skills.

The program reflects the training philosophy that has helped Unlocked Potential build a reputation in northern Arizona through years of clinics, camps, leagues and competitive team development. By partnering with DYSports, the organization aims to make that same structured approach available to families in the Valley seeking serious skill development during school breaks.

Coach Kiki, founder of Unlocked Potential, said the clinic is built around efficiency and intentional coaching. “We want every drill to have a purpose and every player to understand why they’re doing it,” Kiki said. “Our focus is helping athletes master the basics at a high level. When players improve their fundamentals, the game becomes more fun and their confidence grows. This clinic is about creating that breakthrough moment where kids realize they’re capable of more than they thought.”

Kiki added that the partnership with DYSports allows the program to reach a broader community while maintaining the same coaching standards that define Unlocked Potential events. Organizers expect a high-energy atmosphere that balances discipline with encouragement, giving athletes space to compete, learn and enjoy the process.

Unlocked Potential is a youth basketball development organization known for its emphasis on long-term athlete growth, disciplined fundamentals and positive coaching culture. Based in Flagstaff, the program has hosted clinics, seasonal camps, leagues and competitive teams focused on building both skill and character. Its training model centers on purposeful repetition, efficient movement and game-realistic scenarios that prepare athletes for competitive play. Through partnerships and regional events, the organization continues to expand access to structured, high-quality basketball instruction across Arizona.
