About this Event
Many of us grew up learning to be everything for everyone — the good daughter, the high achiever, the one who never complained. We absorbed patterns, beliefs, and expectations that were never ours to begin with. And somewhere along the way, we lost the thread back to ourselves.
This evening is an invitation to find it again.
Join licensed therapists Shruthi Nair, LMHC-D, LPC (Bold Brown Therapy) and Dr. Jyothsna Bhat, Psy.D. (Bhat Psychological Services LLC) for an intimate evening of reflection, honest conversation, and practical mindfulness skills — held in the warm, welcoming space of Chai Spot in downtown Manhattan.
What to expect: Over two hours together, we'll slow down, look inward, and explore the cultural and family patterns that quietly shape how we move through the world. You'll leave with real tools, a clearer sense of yourself, and — we hope — a few new people in your corner.
The evening includes guided reflection exercises, facilitated group discussion, introduction to practical mindfulness techniques, and plenty of time to connect with a community of people who just get it — over unlimited chai and snacks.
This evening is for you if you…
- Feel caught between cultural expectations and who you actually want to be
- Carry stress, guilt, or people-pleasing patterns you're ready to examine
- Want a safe, culturally grounded space to explore your inner world
- Are craving real connection with other South Asian women on a similar path
Space is intentionally limited to keep the evening intimate and meaningful.
🎟 Secure your spot for $20 — includes unlimited chai & snacks.
