About this Event
After the Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland Men’s Football Team successfully qualified for and competed in the 2023 FISU Football World Cup in China, they’re back to defend their Oceania title to compete again in the 2025 World Cup.
Come cheer on the UoA Men’s Football team as they take over the country’s top stadium, Eden Park, to compete against arch-rivals AUT and Canterbury. There will be three games throughout the day with the winner of the tournament play advancing to the Oceania Qualifier against the top Australian university to decide who goes to China.
- Game 1: UoA vs. AUT @ 9am
- Game 2: AUT vs. Canterbury @ 12.30pm
- Game 3: UoA vs. Canterbury @ 3:30pm
Grab your family and friends and enjoy a day of university sport in the country’s best stadium for free. The first 300 UoA students to register for an event ticket also get a free food voucher and piece of fan gear. Face painting will be available to build our blue and white spirit!
We will also be giving away two Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland sweatshirts. Winners will be drawn in advance from all ticket registrations, so make sure you attend for your chance to win! Spot prizes will also be given out to attendees.
