About this Event
This guided walk and talk will be led by Dr David Clark, starting from the Silberrad Student Centre Plaza. As part of the global Campus Nature Challenge, this event offers a relaxed, group-based way to explore local biodiversity while contributing to a worldwide citizen science initiative. Together, we’ll observe and record wildlife, share knowledge, and learn more about the natural environment around us.
Participants will need to download the iNaturalist app in advance and join the University of Essex Campus Nature Challenge project to take part. Whether you’re new to nature spotting or already enthusiastic about wildlife, this is a great opportunity to connect with others, discover local species, and play a part in a global effort to document and protect nature.
Please dress appropriately for the weather, as this is an outdoor event. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and suitable footwear for walking. The event will go ahead in most weather conditions but may be cancelled in cases of extreme weather.
Please note that the terrain may be uneven in places and may not be suitable for all mobility levels. Attendees are encouraged to take this into consideration when deciding to participate.
