About this Event
A special evening of short films created through Wondering CIC’s collaborative filmmaking project in partnership with WCL Mind.
Over 14 weeks, 11 new filmmakers with lived experience of mental health challenges came together to make powerful biographical films exploring resilience, identity, and mental health. This is the first public screening of their work — a celebration of creativity, storytelling, and community.
The evening will feature:
- 60 minutes of 5 short films made by lived-experience filmmakers
- Reflections and conversations with the filmmakers on biographical film as a therapeutic practice and creative community-building
- Snacks and drinks in a welcoming, communal space
At Wondering CIC, we believe storytelling, art, and community are essential to addressing the mental health crisis. By placing cameras in the hands of people with lived experience, we empower individuals to own their stories, develop professional skills, and make authentic work that offers an unfiltered insight into the full spectrum of mental health.
