- A 2hr Educational and Experiential Workshop - Gather in community for an educational and experiential workshop exploring the inner aspects of your nervous system. Learn how to tend and befriend arguably the most important aspect of yourself - your center, your central channel, your nervous system.
We will begin with an overview and basic education of the vagus nerve, the connection between body and mind. We will explore locations of the body that are directly connected to the vagus nerve, practice Zapchen somatic exercises for calm, and end with a meditation journeying through the layers of the vagus system as integration.
This experience draws on the teachings of Stephen Porges, Kathy Kain, Peter Levine, Julie Henderson and more. Get to know, feel, and settle your nervous system as you learn and practice exercises for self regulation.
Taylor, Your Guide:
“I’m Taylor. A lifelong student of Eastern mysticism and modern psychology, lover of all things natural, and on a mission to bring you back to wholeness. I was fortunate enough to be introduced to yoga in my adolescence, studying and practicing for 15 years now. Over the last 5 years I’ve trained and have been o ering bodywork supporting the vagus nerve and craniosacral system. I’ve personally resorted to these practices as a coping
mechanism to manage stress, to restore self-love and centeredness regardless of external circumstances. Along my journey, I continue to follow my Dharma, which in Sanskrit refers to the real self. I am a yogi, doula, bodyworker, and educator seeking to provide space in which people of all walks of life feel honored, supported and loved. I look forward to learning and practicing with you.“
