Creating meaningful change within organizations requires more than good intentions—it demands a clear understanding of how systems work
About this Event

Friday, August 15 ⋅9:30am – 5:00pm

Session Description:Creating meaningful change within organizations requires more than good intentions—it demands a clear understanding of how systems of oppression show up in our structures, cultures, and everyday practices. This session invites participants to explore the historical and ongoing impact of systems like racism, sexism, ableism, and classism, and how they shape power, privilege, and exclusion in the workplace.

Through facilitated dialogue, self-reflection, and applied learning, participants will unpack how these systems operate both explicitly and implicitly—and how we may unconsciously reinforce them. The session also explores what it means to practice authentic allyship at the individual, interpersonal, and organizational levels. Rather than performative gestures, we’ll focus on sustained action, accountability, and relational approaches to equity work.

Participants will leave with a shared language, deeper awareness, and tangible tools to challenge inequity, build solidarity across difference, and lead change that centers justice and belonging.

Key Takeaways:

  • Understand core concepts related to systemic oppression and intersectionalityIdentify how systems of power operate within organizational policies, culture, and norms
  • Explore what authentic allyship looks like in action (and what it’s not)
  • Gain tools to challenge inequitable practices and build a culture of equity and accountability

  • August 15 focuses on unpacking systems of oppression and developing tools for authentic allyship and organizational change.
  • August 22 dives into inclusive leadership, organizational culture transformation, and building resilient, psychologically safe teams.

💡 Bundle Discount Available! If you register for both trainings, you're eligible for a discounted combo ticket. Details and bundle link are available in the ticket section.

Let’s move from awareness to action, together.
