About this Event
Join us for a relaxed and friendly session designed to build confidence and understanding around HIV. This training cuts through myths and misconceptions by focusing on clear, up‑to‑date facts about what HIV is, how it is and isn’t transmitted, and what living with HIV looks like today.
We take a stigma‑free approach from the very beginning, helping participants come in with an open mind and leave feeling informed, reassured, and confident in their knowledge. The session also explores modern treatment, prevention options, and the realities of everyday life with HIV, creating space for open discussion in a supportive environment.
Whether you’re working with communities, supporting the public, or simply wanting to improve your awareness, this session will give you the tools to communicate accurately, challenge stigma, and create more inclusive spaces for everyone.
PLEASE NOTE: There will be two dates available for this training, and you only need to attend one. Each session will take place in a different room at the civic centre. You will receive a reminder a couple of days before your chosen date, along with confirmation of the room location.
