About the Host
Monica Matthews- Smith, MS OTR/L has been a registered Occupational Therapist for over 19 years, dedicating the majority of her career to being a Pediatric Therapist. She recieved her Undergrad and Graduate Degrees in Occupational Therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Monica has worked in various settings, including home health, acute in-patient hospital, NICU, and school-based. Working with young children with autism has given Monica insight into key challenges that both the child and parent(s) face with day-to-day activites, and her mission is to provide families of children with autism with resources that can help make life easier.
Monica is the owner of Houston Rehab Services, LLC, an in-home therapy agency that specializes in providing Occupational Therapy to children with autism 0-8 years old.
