Understanding & Managing the Nervous System During Brain Recovery

Join Tess Grootscholten, Registered PT, for an interactive workshop focused on understanding and managing the nervous system during concussion/brain recovery. After a brain injury, the body can often feel stuck in a "fight or flight" state, leaving you wired but tired. In this session, we will explore the science of why this happens, the importance of working with our nervous system in rehab, and transition into a guided experiential practice. Participants will learn practical breathing exercises and grounding techniques designed to reduce overstimulation, manage stress, and promote brain recovery.

This is a HYBRID Meeting.

(ONLINE): ZOOM

(IN-PERSON WORKSHOP): BIST OFFICE

Guest Speaker - Tess Grootscholten, Registered PT
