Acoustic tribute to iconic 70s singer songwriters
Mark Governor's "Under the Influence" series continues with a tribute to the singer songwriters of the Laurel Canyon era. Mark joins Pi Jacobs, Tara DeMoulin, Jefferson Bergey and special guests performing songs by James Taylor, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, Carole King, Linda Ronstadt and more alongside their own original material that these artists inspired. With special guests Mark Lemaire, James Combs And David Blood.
Under The Influence of...features a different line-up of artists paying tribute to the great songwriters and musicians of our time.
Mark Governor is the composer for 20 feature films and over 200 television series, specials and documentaries, including “The Hobbit” trilogy special editions. As a songwriter and record producer, he has worked with Grammy-wining artists in nearly all genres of music. In theater, Mark’s musicals “shAme” and “Possession” are in development for Broadway 2024.

Pi Jacobs Pi Jacobs draws inspiration from her unconventional upbringing in “The Land of W**d and Wine” aka Northern California. Blending roots-rock swagger and storytelling soul, her music has drawn comparisons to Tom Waits, Dolly Parton, and Lucinda Williams. She has been heard on NPR, DittyTV, Austin Music TV, Americana Highways, American Songwriter Magazine, and regularly on tastemakers KCSN, WFUV and stations across the nation.

Tara DeMoulin Tara DeMoulin is a San Francisco based singer-songwriter. She is well-known in the North Beach underground scene, and regularly performs standards and French classics at Le Petit Paris on Broadway. Other credits include Landmark Theatre Company musicals, films Countercurrents and Precious Wheels, and Season 3 of American Idol.

Jefferson Bergey Oakland’s Jefferson Bergey live-loops his quirky pop and twisted folk songs with a penchant for improvisation and ridiculousness. He is a resident songwriter for Bawdy Storytelling and MUNI Diaries, the voice of Freestone Peaches: A Tribute to the Allman Brothers Band, a Jazz Mafia feature vocalist for Grateful Brass, and fronts numerous private event bands in the Bay Area. He’s also the namesake of the award-winning Bergey Burger (Best of the Bay 2020-2022) .
