About this Event
A $19 Riedel Glass gets you into the tasting and acts as a stylish addition to your collection
Join us for a tasting of wines from The Standish Wine Company, one of the most compelling producers in Australia’s Barossa Valley. Founded by winemaker Dan Standish in 1999, the estate focuses on old-vine Shiraz from some of the region’s most historic vineyard sites. Standish, a sixth-generation Barossan, works with tiny yields and traditional methods to craft wines that combine the power of Barossa fruit with remarkable precision and elegance.
Lamella: Sourced from a historic vineyard planted in the late 1800s, Lamella is intensely aromatic and structured. Expect deep blackberry, plum, and black cherry layered with graphite, spice, and mineral notes, supported by firm yet refined tannins.
The Relic: A distinctive blend of Shiraz and a touch of Viognier, inspired by the traditions of Côte-Rôtie. It shows lifted floral aromatics, dark berries, smoked meat, and subtle pepper, with silky texture and vibrant energy.
Schubert’s Theorem: Named in tribute to Max Schubert, the legendary creator of Penfolds Grange. This wine is rich and opulent, offering layers of ripe blackberry, mocha, baking spice, and dark chocolate, with a powerful yet polished finish.
