A multiple award winning play about a teacher caught attempting to break the siege on Gaza to deliver – of all humanitarian necessities– Russian Literature. The teacher is imprisoned, and nicknamed "Ulysses" by the Israeli secret services for his passion for literature and quixotic obsession.
With American plans to turn Gaza into “the Riviera of the Middle East”, the play echos as a harrowing call to ‘ring the bells that still can ring!’
