A hands-on music experience for kids of all ages
Get ready to make some joyful noise! In this hands-on music workshop, young musicians will explore the wonderful world of rhythm and song with hand percussion instruments and ukuleles. Led by MSU music education graduate Lacy Jewell and Holland Arts Council director Ken Freestone, your child will discover the music living inside them just waiting to come out. Whether your young one is a first-time musician or a budding rock star, this workshop is the perfect place to explore, experiment, and fall in love with making music together. All ages welcomed and instruments provided, no prior experience necessary.
Fiddle Scouts is a gathering of music enthusiasts ages 3-13 and their families who love to play with music. Each gathering features a local or regional folk musician who is adept at sharing music with everyone in the room. Fiddle Scouts often involves drumming, singing or playing a new instrument! Every gathering is different. Suggested donation is $5 per child or $10 per family and can be paid online at www.tenpoundfiddle.org or with cash in person.
