Dr. Dila Kulturel, Univeristy of Dundee School of Business: Sustainable Food Branding: Engaging Consumers

This talk offers insights into consumer attitudes and behaviours related to sustainability in the UK food market. Based on my research, I will address the critical role of digital strategies in helping brands engage effectively with consumers. Specifically, the discussion will focus on how content strategies and social media interactions shape sustainable food consumption and brand engagement. The talk will conclude with practical recommendations for brands to enhance consumer interaction through sustainability initiatives.


Daniëlle Gaffney du Plooy, Uppertunity Ltd: From Food Waste to Climate Action: How Serendipities is Creating a Sustainable Future

Climate change can be daunting and scary, and often seem inaccessible to many, especially marginalised groups.
Uppertunity aims to provide ways to change this and play its part in helping to tackle the estimated 9.5 million tonnes of food which the UK throws away each year, through its catering service Serendipities.
Danielle will share the journey so far, and inspiration of how those in food and drink can move towards a more sustainable future.
