Faculty of Population Health Sciences
Introduction to Academic Writing Short Course Autumn Term (iBSc)
About this Event
These short courses are offered to Faculty of Population Health Sciences iBSc students currently writing or preparing to write their first assignments. The course aims to enable students to communicate critically and confidently in their writing.
The course consists of two workshops, taking place once a week over two weeks. Course input is based on faculty-specific materials and sessions on campus. They are taught in a variety of interactive and communicative ways, encouraging active participation from students, and helping to build confidence in working in groups and discussing and responding to ideas.
Each session will involve input from the tutor and some practice tasks, both individually and in small groups. You may also spend some time before and after each session preparing and completing tasks set by your tutor.
Participants can select a course time from the options below. Please note that places are limited and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Once courses are full, a waiting list will be in operation and you will be notified if and when a place becomes available. Course materials will be made available after the live workshops on our ACC Moodle page.
**YOU MUST BE ABLE TO ATTEND BOTH SESSIONS**
