About this Event
UASC Training: Understanding the UASC Asylum Process
The North West Strategic Migration Partnership (SMP) in conjunction with Greater Manchester Immigration Aid Unit (GMIAU) are proud to bring to you this virtual ½ day UASC training entitled:
Understanding the UASC Asylum process and how to best support young people with the process.
The course is aimed at social work practitioners, social work managers and other front line practitioners involved with or having responsibility for supporting UASC with the asylum application/ legal process. It is a very good follow on if you have attended the IOM information sessions on UASC journey/ experiences–to optimally support UASC in your care, though you do not need to have attended the IOM UASC session to do this course.
Please note that attendance for the UASC Training: Understanding the UASC Asylum Process event is monitored. Due to high demand and specialist content, attendees will face penalties if they fail to attend the sessions and an invoice of £50 may be issued to you or your organisation. If you can no longer attend the training session, please contact us and let us know. Alternatively, pass your invitation on to another college or foster carer who may also find the event beneficial.
