The Texas Permanency Outcomes Practice Model (TXPOP) is a model for public and private child welfare agencies in Texas to engage children and their families in achieving positive permanency outcomes. The TXPOP Post- Permanency model has been adapted from the original model to assist professionals in working with children and families in the post permanency phase. This workshop is relevant for professionals working in Child Placing Agencies or other community agencies that support children and families in post adoption and post permanency.
Objectives:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the Texas Permanency Outcomes Practice Model and how it relates to post permanency work
- Increase knowledge of the TXPOP tools and how to begin integrating them into your work with children and families
- Understand how to apply practices that engage youth in the decision making and planning process
